Drupal Association, an educational non-profit organization that tasks itself with fostering and supporting the Drupal software project, released a statement that its DrupalCon Portland 2013 has achieved a new record for attendance on Tuesday this week.
DrupalCon Portland 2013 is the official conference of the Drupal community, which brings together the people who use, develop, design, and support the Drupal platform.
This event is held at the Oregon Convention Center, conveniently located in downtown Portland, and it attracted over 3,300 participants.
As always, the DrupalCon opens with Drupal founder Dries Buytaer’s keynote address followed by three days of keynotes, technical sessions, training and networking events.
The reputable user experience expert Karen McGrane and Silicon Valley author and engineering leader Michael Loppc both would give speeches.
The executive director of the Drupal Association, Holly Ross indicated that the Drupal community played a crucial role in the development of Drupal software.
As the producer and host of annual DrupalCon Event, Holly said: “The amazing global community that powers Drupal continues to grow in energy and numbers.”
There are personal developers, IT managers, agencies, designers and Fortune 100 companies among the thousands of participants.
